These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of opendxffileonline.com (the “Site”), including our free online DXF viewer (the “Viewer”) and our articles and guides. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Using the Viewer
The Viewer is a free tool that opens DXF files in your web browser. Your files are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to our server. You may use the Viewer for personal and commercial purposes, as long as you follow these Terms.
You are responsible for the files you open and for having the right to use them. Do not use the Site to break any law or to infringe anyone’s rights.
2. No guarantee of accuracy
We work hard to display drawings correctly, but CAD files are complex. Some objects, fonts, line types, 3D content or features from specialized software may not display, or may display differently than in the program that created them. Measurements shown by the Viewer depend on the data and units stored in your file.
Always check critical dimensions in the original CAD software, or with the file’s author, before you manufacture, build, cut, order materials or make any decision that depends on accuracy. See our Disclaimer.
3. Our content
The articles, text, graphics, logos, design and code on the Site belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may read, share links to and print our articles for personal use. You may not copy, republish or sell our content, or use it to train automated systems, without our written permission. Short quotes with a link back to the original page are welcome.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attack, overload, scrape at scale or try to disrupt the Site.
- Try to access parts of the Site you are not allowed to access.
- Upload, post or link to malware, spam or illegal content in comments or messages.
- Remove copyright or ownership notices.
- Pretend to be us or to be connected with us.
5. Comments
If you post a comment, you are responsible for it. Keep comments respectful and on topic. We may moderate, edit or delete comments at our discretion. By posting, you allow us to display your comment on the Site.
6. Third party links and software
Our guides mention and link to software, websites and services made by others. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, safety or terms. Download software only from official sources. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Autodesk or any other company mentioned, unless we say so.
7. Free service, provided as is
The Site and the Viewer are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non infringement. We may change, pause or stop any part of the Site at any time without notice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profit, materials or business, arising from your use of the Site, the Viewer or our content. This includes losses from parts, cuts or builds made from files viewed or measured on the Site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use the Site, which is zero.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. It forms part of these Terms.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows when they last changed. If you keep using the Site after changes, you accept the new Terms.
