General information only
The guides and articles on opendxffileonline.com are for general information. They are written in good faith to help you work with DXF files. They are not professional engineering, architectural, legal or safety advice. Software changes often, so menus, features and prices described in our guides may differ from what you see.
Check critical dimensions
Our viewer displays and measures the data stored in your DXF file. Results depend on the file’s units, accuracy and content. Some CAD features may display differently than in the software that created the file.
Before you cut material, manufacture parts, build anything or place an order, confirm important dimensions in the original CAD software or with the person who made the drawing. We are not responsible for losses caused by relying on a drawing, measurement or guide from this site.
Machine and material safety
Laser cutters, CNC routers, plasma tables and other machines can be dangerous. Always follow the maker’s instructions and safety rules. Never cut materials that are unsafe for your machine. For example, never laser cut PVC or vinyl. Never leave a running laser unattended. Our safety tips are reminders, not a complete safety guide.
Third party software and websites
We mention and link to many programs and websites. We do not control them and cannot guarantee their accuracy, safety or availability. Always download software from the official website of its maker. Product names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners. Mentioning a product does not mean we are affiliated with or endorsed by its maker.
Affiliate links and advertising
At the moment, our guides do not contain paid placements. If we add affiliate links or advertising in the future, we will mark them clearly and update this page. Any such links will never change our honest view of a product.
